American VS European "leg vice" "leg vise" "box vise" "post vise"

So post vises/vices have been around for a very long time, over a hundered years. They are both functional but the post vises made in the states, for me, lack........... well they look like nobody cared anymore, or that its just a product so pump them out and forget all about pride, craftsmenship, and beauty. Here are the diffrences.
